Certainly not on my own. Again, I’m not that driven. I get into a gym and there’s heavy things to lift and I go, “I could do this or I could go home and read and book,” and I’m out of the gym like that. So, thankfully, Universal and Working…

What are some good workouts that I can do to get conditioned for tennis?
Q: I do not live near a tennis court, I can’t drive yet, and my parents work. And, My driveway is not perfectly flat. but I do have a coldesack or however u spell it, but that’s not flat either. and I do have a deck. I would also like stretches and toning and strengthening workouts too. also… do you think u could give me a good schedule?
A: You should start with some distance running; keep in mind that footwork is incredibly important and being able to run quickly to balls while your opponent is dragging can make the difference in the match. You should try to run a couple miles 3 times a week.Stretching is important; the basics I do before playing is calf, quad, shoulder and back. You could also do some sprint drills on the court to improve your footwork. Start in the doubles alley, sprint to and touch the net, backpeddle to the service line, shuffle to the midway point, sprint to the net on the line dividing the 2 service boxes, backpeddle to the service line, shuffle to the other doubles alley, sprint to the net, backpeddle to the baseline. If you can, shuffle across the baseline to the original doubles alley and repeat. This is a standard and excellent footwork drill.
What are some good workouts to improve my tennis game all around?
Q: im 17 years olr, 5’11 weigh 165, trying to get in my best shape to gelp improve my game. Besides sprints, what workouts will increase my strength, flexability, hand eye coordination, and stamina
A: i know u said no sprits, but do what i do. jogging around a track as many times as u can helps increase stamina and ur all-around ability (works out legs and arms and build mussle). flexibility just normal stretches every day will help. trust me. i tried to touch my toes every day for about a week (i have terrible flexibility) and held my posistion for 10 seconds each time and i has so much more flexible its not even funny. hand-eye cordination would just be normal practice with tennis to get better. strength could be push-ups (good for arms) chin-ups, weight lifting ect.good luck!
