What are some good exercise tips to keep my calves from tightening?
Q: I work at a place where I’m standing for about 9 hours. And after about 4 hours my calves feel really tight. Does anyone have any exercise tips to keep this from happening?
A: Try calf stretches. First, lean against a wall with outstretched arms so that you`re at an angle to it. Now, put one foot in front of you with your knee bent and straighten the other leg out behind you whilst keeping your foot pointing towards the wall and FLAT on the ground. Keep you back leg straight and your foot flat as you slightly bend you arms so that your upper body comes closer to the wall. If you keep your back foot flat throughout the movement then you`ll feel a stretch in your back calf. Just repeat the movement on your other leg. Hope this helps.
Any exercise that’s good at making skinny calves more meaty?
Q: I have super skinny calves, only 12″ in diameter at their widest, i drown in normal boots, i want my calves to be curvier and bigger, but woman like, not like a body builder… if that’s possible. Anyone know what exercises are good for this? Thanks in advance!
A: Do you have fast metabolism? All you need to do is eat lots of protein foods like potatoes, fish ( not fried), chicken and of course meat ( lean meat with no fats). You can also just drink protein shakes. For a skinny person I would recommend jogging, swimming and doing stretches and body exercises like push ups, stretch ups and so on. If you plan on going in Gyms then I highly advice or recommend you not to try and do heavy strong exercises for building up muscles. One of these good examples are lifting weights. No don’t try them just “yet”. Take it easy and play some light sports like tennis. Start off by jogging and doing push ups Exercises until some of your muscles around your body including your arms and legs build up slightly. Once they have been built up then you might be able to lift weights. Always start of with lighter weights before trying heavier weights. Most importantly try to eat healthy foos to help you exercise more so that you won’t get tired very easily and also eating lots and lots of protein foods will definitely help build muscles.Don’t forget to drink milk 😉
whats a really good exercise that works your calves?
Q: im like average weight and im okk with that but id like to know how to get rid of the fat on my calves :(. detail would be really helpful =) thanks to all in advance!oh btw tonings ok too. i just want them thinner whether that means having to gain a lil muscle =]will walking on a treadmile that has an incline help?
A: Stand up on your tippy toes then lower your feet slowly. Hold onto the back of a sturdy chair or sofa or kitchen counter for support. Raise your feet up on your toes again and lower slowly down to your heels. This can be done where ever you are & at anytime no matter what you are doing. You can be doing dishes, vaccuming, dusting, watching tv, shopping or anything. Climbing stairs is also great for your calves.
