Q:I know that genital warts are transmitted sexually and all of that, but is that the ONLY way that they can be transmitted? They are only very small. Also, how do you get rid of them, and are they dangerous to your health in general or your fertility??

Yes, they are dangerous if you don’t take care of them. Warts are a form of HPV virus, if you don’t take care of it it can form cervical cancer. If one has warts, while birth it can be transmitted to the baby. See a doctor immediately and don’t take this lightly.
There is no cure for HPV. It can cause cervical cancer, pain and sterilize you (no babies). Cryosurgery can be performed (freezing them or abnormal growth off). Check with your doctor and be completely honest of all questions. Your medical records are 100 percent confidential (even from parents if under 18)
All warts are from the HPV virus. There are over 100 types of HPV and about 30 of those are sexually transmitted. More info:http://www.niaid.nih.gov/factsheets/stdh.
