What kind of over the counter meds can you buy for serious itching on chest and arms. Don/t know the cause?

An over the counter medication is Benadryl or Benedryl. But, the best thing is to make sure you know what is causing the itching. Go see a doctor.

hydrocortisone is good as well. Benedryl is good for rashes and allergies. You can take the tablets but they will make you sleepy. They also make creams and sprays with benedryl in them.

My husband has had that for a while and man we tried everything the best stuff we found was avenno body wash and lotion. but he went to the doc a week ago and they told him it was a skin fungus and a lot of people have it. go to a doc! good luck!!

Hydrocortisone cream, witch hazel, calamine lotion. If the itching continues, you should go to a dermatoglist. It might be an allergic reaction. Have you used any new products lately, like detergent, soap or lotion?

Sounds like something you might want to get checked out but in the meantime, Benedryl (in pill form) always worked for me to lessen the intensity of the itch.
