This friendly-user website list the dogs with their pictures. You can search for the gender, type and size of the dog that you want. Just looking at some of these dogs make you want to fall in love with them.

3. Atlanta Pet Rescue & Adoption, 720 14th Street Northwest, Atlanta, Georgia
This is a volunteered-based and nonprofit organization. These pets need care 7 days a week. They need volunteers for the morning, noon, and evening. Other ways to volunteer include cleaning the shelter, playing with the dogs and cats, grooming and bathing the dogs, or providing administrative assistant. I think I like the option of playing with the dogs and cats.
Did you know that they have a foster parent program for the animals? You can offer them a safe home until they are adopted. I think this is just great.
Pictures of their adorable dogs are listed on their site also. Just looking at them makes me want to adopt one. They are so adorable.
