After Close Game with Stanford, USC Regroups to Face Colorado on Friday

The USC Trojans put it all on the line against the Stanford Cardinal and nearly emerged victorious this past weekend. With a short week, they need to forget about that game and focus on this Friday’s away game against the Colorado Buffaloes.

The Trojans fought tenaciously against the Cardinal and had many chances to beat Stanford. Unfortunately a win was not in the cards this time as Stanford beat USC by a score of 56-48. This three overtime game will be one for the ages, for sure.

USC Trojans can win rest of games

The USC Trojans may be quite disappointed over their loss to the Cardinal but they need to keep focused on the big picture. USC has a fairly easy schedule the rest of the 2011 college football season in the Pac-12. They face Colorado this Friday and then after that they play against Washington, Oregon and UCLA. Sure, that Oregon game looks really tough right now but given how well USC played against Stanford you have to give the Trojans a decent chance to compete against the Ducks on Nov. 19.

Colorado Buffaloes can capitalize

With so much effort expended against Stanford, you can imagine that USC right now is exhausted both mentally and physically. They may even think that they don’t have to practice very hard in their upcoming matchup.

Well, the Trojans better think again. The Colorado Buffaloes team us considered by many in the Pac-12 to be one of the weakest teams this year in the conference. After all, they have yet to win a game in the Pac-12. The Buffaloes may be able to sneak a win against USC if the Trojans think they have an automatic win against the Buffaloes.
