Best Disney Movies Since 1990

In the last 25 years, the Walt Disney Company produced many quality animated features. Below is a list of the top 6 Disney films since 1990.

Number 6: Aladdin (1992). Young Aladdin finds an oil lamp that contains a Genie. Aladdin and the Sultan’s daughter, Jasmine must not only deal with the genie, but also some local thieves.

Number 5: Cars (2006). In a world populated by talking cars, a young race car named Lighting McQueen competes for the top prize in the Los Angeles International Speedway race.

Number 4: Beauty and the Beast (1990). A selfish young prince turns away a travelling stranger. The stranger turned out to be an enchantress who angrily turns the prince into a beast. A young beautiful woman named Belle travels to the castle and is taken prisoner by the beast. In order to return back to his original form, he must make Belle fall in love with him despite his appearance.

Number 3: The Incredibles (2004). A family of retired superheroes lives normal lives in obscurity. They want nothing more than to go back to their exciting superhero lives. Once the world is in danger, the superheroes leave retirement and combine forces to stop the evil Syndrome from conquering the world.

Number 2: “Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2 (1999) and Toy Story 3 (2010). Woody is young Andy’s favorite toy and the leader of the entire group of toys. On Andy’s birthday, he is given a brand new toy, Buzz Lightyear. Immediately, Woody becomes jealous of Buzz and the two become rivals. The three “Toy Story” films tell different stories about the adventures of Woody, Buzz and the rest of the toys as they compete for the affections of Andy and become fast friends in the process.

Number 1: “The Lion King” (1994). Simba is born into a pride of lions and is destined to become the leader of the pride. He is the son of the current king, Mufasa. Unfortunately for Simba, Mufasa’s brother, Scar is jealous and wants to be king after Mufasa. Scar kills Mufasa and tricks Simba into believing that he was responsible. Simba leaves the pride, leaving Scar in charge. The entire savannah deteriorates under Scar’s leadership. Simba grows up and returns to his rightful place as the Lion King.

The Disney Studios produced some classic animated features during this period. Some of these movies were produced by Pixar, which is known for its high quality computer animated features, as well as excellent songs. These movies are enjoyed by children and adults around the world and can be purchased in DVD or Blue-Ray form.
