Children’s Halloween Activities on the Delmarva Peninsula 2011

October 7-8, 2011 – Salisbury, MD – Night of the Living Zoo 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Take a spooky hike through the zoo that will entertain and educate visitors about the zoo’s creepy, crawly nocturnal inhabitants. The Zoo provides a safe, family-oriented Halloween experience for the community. Those who attend Night of the Living Zoo are educated and entertained… tricked and treated… thrilled and chilled during the event. Special performances are sure to captivate Zoo visitors. October 21, 2011 – St. Michaels, MD – MARITIME MONSTER MASH to benefit the Navy Point Restoration Project 6-9pm; $10 members, $15 non-members, Children 12 and under free. Join the Museum for some spooky family fun with judging for the best costumes, games, and ‘trick-or-treats’ at various exhibits. Enjoy live music, roving entertainers, magicians, and costumed maritime monsters, featuring Chessie, the legendary sea monster said to live in the Chesapeake Bay. October 22-24, 2011 – Lewes, DE – Children’s Fantasy Trail Jack o’ lanterns light a trail featuring characters from children’s storybooks and fairy tales who will have candy and toys for trick-or-treaters. October 26, 2011 – Selbyville, DE – “Sight Night” Halloween parade 7p.m. Church St. Costume prizes, food and beverages, and a 50/50 raffle.

October 26, 2011 – Easton, MD – Children’s costume contest at Thompson Park ages 12 and under at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m. children ages 12 and under will trick-or-treat to local businesses. From 6-8 p.m. there will be a magical hayride. All attending must meet at Thompson Park.
