She made headlines by divorcing Kris Humphries 72 days after they said “I Do,” and Kim Kardashian hinted that she may have known the marriage wouldn’t work even before the ceremony aired on television.
The “Disaster Movie” babe told Marie Claire magazine’s December 2011 issue, “I felt like if I didn’t show the wedding, it would be upsetting for people who have taken this journey with me.”
However, Kim also noted that Kris seemed like the right fit for her. “We felt like, ‘Why wait?’ It’s fun to have a partner who understands your life and lets you be you.”
Ms. Kardashian’s first marriage to music producer Damon Thomas when she was 19 also ended badly, though she took many lessons from the experience.
“I didn’t know myself but I learned so much from [that relationship]: who I wanted to be, who I never wanted to be. I learned how to cook and do a lot of marital things. It definitely taught me what being a wife is all about. I think it means taking care of each other’s needs and being there for someone unconditionally.”
Though she’s been down and out as of late thanks to her short-lived marriage, Kim Kardashian reportedly has big plans for New Year’s Eve.
According to a report, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” starlet will host a swanky shindig at TAO Nightclub in Las Vegas on December 31st.
An insider told press, “She’s spending New Year’s Eve again at TAO. [TAO] is like her home away from home when she’s in Vegas.”
Now, with filming for her part in the Tyler Perry movie “The Wedding Counselor” already wrapped, a Kim K. pal says she plans on taking it easy for an undisclosed amount of time.
The Kardashian source reveals that the 31-year-old has “cancelled the whole rest of her year and is just going to spend time relaxing, taking some much needed time off.”
As for her soon-to-be ex husband, the NBA player finally emerged from his Minnesota homestead after taking some time to lick his wounds.
Kris Humphries was spotted in New York City last night (November 14) for some sort of “business” affairs. He also had dinner with a friend and his manager at Serafina restaurant, an eatery he used to frequent with Kardashian.
As for the reports that he’s hired a new lawyer and is refusing to sign the divorce papers, a friend of Kris’s says it’s all false.
“He will be signing the papers. There’s nothing new about it. [Hutton’s] been his lawyer since day one.”
