Most Montrealers complain they do not get enough sleep. Yet, sleep affects our physical and mental health. Not having enough sleep affects our mood, our stamina, our home-life and career, and our social relationships.

Sleep is an important human function which is essential for good physical health and good mental health. Even though sleep is so important many Montrealers take sleeping for granted. They either sleep too much or more often than not, sleep less than is recommended for good health. Montrealers will catnap rather than sleep, burn the midnight oil studying, play on the computer, or just insist that they are too busy too sleep.

The Meaning, Symptoms, and Causes for Nightmares and Bad Dreams

A nightmare can be very distressing whether it is a child experiencing one or an adult. Nightmares are bad dreams that can be very terrifying. The dreamers feels as if the dream is real and the monster is chasing them, or someone is strangling them, or they are actually falling off a cliff, high building and many other possibilities. Most adults have experienced a nightmare or bad dream at some point during their life.

These nightmares or bad dreams are so real-like the body responds as if it really was a life threatening situation.

Symptoms of nightmares or bad dreams
The pulse of the dreamer might begin to race and the dreamer can break out into a sweat. This is the due to the body’s fear response.

The dreams can become so intense that the dreamers may awake during their nightmares or bad dreams.
