Can a Christian lose salvation?
No. When one places their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, one enters into a personal relationship with God that is is secure and eternal:
John 3:15 says that one who believes in Jesus Christ will have eternal life: ” that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
A believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit forever and ever:
“the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you” (John 14:17 ) .
God says that He will finish the work He has begun in us:
” being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” (Philippians 1:6).
Nothing can separate a believer from God’s love:
38 “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-40).
Once we are in Christ, we are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17); we are born again (John 3:3); we cannot become “unborn again.” Scripture does not support any such claim.
If someone claims to be a follower of Yeshua yet lives an ungodly lifestyle on a continuous basis, he or she was never saved in the first place .
“ Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.” (1 John 3:6)
Once saved, always saved!
