Christmas Has Come

Snow covered roads, homes twinkling with lights,

Church bells ringing as carolers sing “Silent Night”.

Trees decorated with presents below,

Wrapped in shiny paper, tied with great big bows.

Family and friends gather to celebrate this joyous moment together,

Making memories filled with laughter, stories they will tell forever.

Children have left cookies and milk, anxious for Santa to arrive,

As they lay in their beds they can’t seem to close their eyes.

Parents have said good bye to visitors and crawl into bed,

Knowing there will be squeals of excitement as soon as they lay down their heads.

No rest for the weary as Christmas is here,

Such a special time, but thankfully only once a year!
