Jesus could very well return in 2012. Even though we have such a short time left in 2011, He could even come before 2012. The Bible says that we are to keep busy until Jesus returns. We are not to just sit around and wait for Him even though some of us are very anxious to leave this world.
Back in May of 2011, there were a group of people that were so sure that Christ would return on the 21st. Some sold their homes and possessions and some even gave away their retirement money to pay for all the ads and signs. This is not what Jesus wants us to do. The Bible clearly says that no man knows the day or the hour, so we are to stay occupied until He comes. However, we will know when the time is near. Jesus gave us signs to look for in Matthew chapter 24 and Mark chapter 13.
One major thing that needs to take place before Christ’s return is that the Gospel must be preached in every part of the world. This is being done today very rapidly through satellites which are reaching even the most remote parts. Jesus tells us that once this is done, then He will come back.
While we are waiting for Jesus to come, we are to take every opportunity that we have to spread the good news of God’s love. We are commanded in Scripture to do so. We are to be a light to others in these last days that we are living in. The harvest is plentiful right now and God said that He will pour out His spirit in the last days.
All of the other signs have taken place or are currently still happening now. Earthquakes have been on the rise lately, along with crazy weather patterns such as storms and floods. Violence is more rampant than ever. We are seeing wars and rumors of wars. Jesus said when we see these things we are to look up to the sky because that means that His coming is very near.
The Mayans believe that something catastrophic will happen in the year 2012. Even other non-Christians sense that something is about to happen. This event will only be catastrophic for those left behind when Christ returns. For the believer, it will be the end to all of life’s problems and struggles. The Bible says that we will forever be with the Lord in Heaven.
Jesus is coming soon and 2012 could very well be the year. All the signs have been fulfilled. The New World Order is pretty much all set up and ready to emerge once Jesus returns.
