With people becoming more aware of their disassociation with their food supply and ingredients, the trend of using local farms and ranches is making its way into mainstream U.S.A..
About 2 years ago after viewing the documentary Food Inc., I became highly conscious of the food supply in our nation and began making more informed decisions as to what I was feeding my family and myself.
CSA’s, local farming and farmers markets are an important component in today’s corporate controlled food supply. Corporations and the people behind them have manipulated your food sources to unnatural levels sacrificing your health for the sake of profits. Today’s typical meat and produce products are raised with hormones, fertilizers, antibiotics, pesticides and a whole plethora of other chemical and unnatural processes.
CSA’s (Community Supported Agriculture)
CSA stands for community supported agriculture and is a cooperation between community farmers and the people who desire their goods. The rules of various CSA’s will vary from farmer to farmer. Some of the things to expect from a CSA might include: a membership fee, a monthly order commitment and high quality products.

J&J Grassfed Beef is the only bonafide CSA in the Lancaster/Palmdale, CA area of the Antelope Valley. No membership fee is required and no bag charge. The only requirement of the CSA is that you purchase 1 package every month off of the order form. The CSA for J&J Grassfed Beef currently delivers the third Thursday of every month at AV Chiropractic, 44820 10th St W, Lancaster, CA 93534.
