After work today,
I stopped by a store.
I just wanted one little thing,
I did not want to explore.
I quickly grabbed my item,
And waited in the line.
Several were in front of me,
It happens all the time.
The customer at the counter,
Was trying to impress,
The use of a coupon savings,
The employee was under duress.
The computer wouldn’t scan it,
The clerk was frantic as can be.
The customer was angry,
All those in line could see.
I finally got weary,
And put my purchase back.
I left the store quickly,
And made a lot of tracks.
