CERN Scientists Claim that the Speed of Light Has Been Broken

The science world is currently in shock as a team of scientists at the worlds largest physics lab has apparently recorded particles traveling faster than the speed of light – something Albert Einstein and the rest of the scientific community thought was impossible.

Tomorrow the findings will be checked, and if they are proven to be accurate they will turn the scientific world of physics upside down because everything we believe currently explains the way the universe, and everything in it works.

Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity, which was adopted in 1905 clearly states that nothing can travel faster then the speed of light when in a vacuum, but the researchers at the CERN laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland claim that they have recorded tiny particles called Neutrinos traveling faster than the speed of light, which is 186,282 miles per second.

The results have clearly shaken the entire scientific world, and both Japanese and American scientists have asked if they can independently verify the results before the finding are confirmed as a discovery.

Antonio Ereditato, a spokesman for the team of scientist at the CERN laboratory said “We have a huge amount of confidence in our results. We have checked, rechecked, and then checked the results again for anything that could have distorted our measurements but we have found nothing. We are now happy to ask our colleagues to check the results independently.”

Scientists around the world are all in agreement that if the results are confirmed, it would force a fundamental review of the laws of physics, and Einstein’s theory of relativity.

Particles fired around the CERN facility travel at a speed of light and they should take exactly 2.4 thousandths of a second to get from start to finish. The results of the latest tests show that the particles took 60 nanoseconds less to travel around the facility.

According to Einstein’ theory energy is equal to mass multiplied by the speed of light squared, or E=mc2. This theory states that traveling faster than light is impossible because firing an object faster than the speed of light would need an infinite amount of energy.

If the findings are indeed true major questions would need to be asked. Our current understanding of physics, and the laws of the universe tell us that if something is traveling faster than the speed of light, in theory that object would have arrived before it left.

Within the next few days we will find out if the results gathered by the scientists at CERN are correct, and if the findings are true, it will drastically alter our way of thinking when it comes to the universe.
