‘For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind’ 2Ti 1:7.
So, why must we insist on living in fear?
Know this. If you are fearful, you are faithless! You cannot serve two masters, for if God did not give you the spirit of fear, from whom did you receive it? Being fearful speaks volumes regarding your faith (trust) in God. Amen.
Right now, you might be thinking: ‘Doesn’t the bible state that we are to fear God?’ Why yes it does; it does indeed. However, it is time that you understand the context or use of the word fear as it relates to God.
In scripture, fear is used to express a filial [fil-ee-uhl] or love by law. Moreover, a love by law, of which, a child reciprocates or bears to his parents. This is a form of duty or obedience, as such, fear, that is to say, love is reciprocated to parents. So, reciprocated love (or fear) of God, is a ‘holy awe’ or ‘reverence’ towards Him, and His precepts (commandments and laws). By law, we are called to love our parents; mom, dad, and our heavenly Father. Amen.
‘Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear Him, and keep His commandments, and obey His voice, and ye shall serve Him, and cleave unto Him’ Deu 13:4.
Think about this. If you are a Christian, but are living in fear, you are all talk! You have the uniform (mark), but you always call in sick; never showing-up for work. You are a hearer only! A word of caution. If this is you, you should know, your sick days are numbered! Amen.
So, wake-up and stop sleep walking! For the limits we have placed on ourselves; (living by fear), are also placed on the Lord. Which means, He can’t help us if our will is to live in fear. He will not violate our will. And if you are a Christian and do not demonstrate outwardly that you believe in God, (by living by love and not by fear), the world won’t have reason to believe in God, or to believe that the One IS.
Christians that live by fear are announcing to the world;
‘Here Ye, Those of the world! You are better-off staying as you are; of the world! For I am a hearer only, and as such, I have no fruit to show you, I have no testimony nor reason to give you, that you ought to live by Christ’
That’s really sad 
Amen.
Consider this. You are blessed to be a blessing (to those you know, as well as, to those you know not…yet). Show the Lord you love Him and stop defending your fears and become an offensive player. Call on Jesus and believe in Him, (grow some faith) and tackle your fears! If you just stand (on His word), He will do the rest. Trust Him! He will bring you though. He has done it for me and He will do it for you! He promised.
‘And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you’ Mat 17:20
I encourage you to take a look at those things, of which, you are afraid to do. Get up close to it, move it, and look underneath it. Your blessings (wealth) may be hiding underneath. We all have work to do in this area and it is time that we get to it!
Make the right choice. Choose life. Choose Christ and remove your limits and begin to live today!
