Do you remember you first game console? Back in the days when we were younger and we had to actually insert a game cartridge into the console and not a gaming disc? I remember playing Donkey Kong, Aladdin and Mario for hours when I was able to sit down in front of my Super Nintendo. Over the years I have witnessed the rise of the gaming age. We have different systems out now and we have advanced far beyond blowing the dust of the game cartridge to get it to play right. I have played almost every game system that is out now and those from past years and I had to sit and think about which gaming system I think is my favorite.
In my opinion the best, and my favorite gaming console, is the Playstation 3 (PS3). Playstation has had a pretty decent evolution since the first Playstation console came out in 1994. It has also spanned over three gaming generations, so far, as its own brand which beats out how long Xbox has been around by seven years. But the Playstation 3 by far has been the best Playstation console to be mass produced in this Sony owned brand. The PS3 has many features that come with the console upon purchase. Not only can you upload music via memory card, USB or purchase, you can also store photos and albums in a designated spot. There is also a vast online network with the PS3 that has without question thousands of users. The PS3 can also play CD’s, DVD’s, and Blu-rays without needing to download extra software.
The home page can also be customized to fit the buyer’s personality and can also be used to access the internet. Along with the internet, the PS3 is compatible with the online movie franchise Netflix. And if your original PS3 model did not come with the Netflix option you can update your PS3 for free to have the application installed. Even though Netflix isn’t free the Playsation network does not charger you for using Netflix on their system.
The graphics are also magnificent when it comes to the PS3. They use high quality imaging to view photos and to help make your gaming experience as close to real life as possible. Playstation will be a big competitor for a few more gaming generations if they keep up the pace. But for the moment the Playstation 3 is my number one choice for playing any game on, no matter what genre.
