A: The problem with only going to a chiropracter is that muscles develop memory. At some point your muscles got used to your neck being out of alignment and began to “remember” that position. What I mean by that is that if it’s a problem with alignment only, the musles on one side of your neck began to contract and shorten while muscles on the other side of your neck lengthened. The chiropracter can realign your neck, but unless you address the muscles as well they will pull your neck back out of alignment.If this is what’s wrong the best way to deal with it will be to see your chiropracter and then immediately go to a reputable massage therapist (look for one that’s licensed with your city/state or one that’s nationally accredited.) After a few treatments you should start to see lasting improvements.
