What can you take for high fever, throat pain, and headache while pregnant?
Q: If you are allergic to Tylenol, and that is what doc told you to take?I have a friend who is pregnant and is very allerrgic to tylenol. She called me for advise, and I have her on the phone right now. I have no idea what to tell her. HELP! Additional Details6 minutes agoAllergic to robitussin too.4 minutes agoShe did. They are telling her to take tylenol the cold kind and they keep telling her. She also has no money to see her doctor for two weeks. She was date raped. so don’t give her **** for getting pregnant if she has no money. it wasn’t her fault.2 minutes agoShe has called the doc about ten times. they are telling her to take the tylenol anyway, but she can’t.25 seconds agoShe hass been to planned parenthood, they are mean to her and pushing her to have an abortion. SHE DOESNT WANT ONE!9 minutes ago – 3 day(s) left to answer – 9 answers NO help in the pregnancy part. She has the local birth right number from her doc. She was worried about them being like planned parenthood, but I told her how good they are, they are wonderful. She is ( I hope) going to the doc right now. Her fever was 101-103 and I think I yelled at her enough. thanks all!
A: Take a cold shower. Fever is no good for the baby. Get her temp down. Now tell her to call BirthRight at 800-550-4900. They are non-judgmental and non-denominational. They can get her a good doc who will understand that she can’t take Tylenol or pay. Birthright’s services are free.
Smelly Co Worker, pregnant?
Q: I work in a small office (6 people) and one lady that works part time persists in wearing very strong perfume (you can smell her across the office). Some of it isn’t bad, with other scents that smell like she mixed it with acetone, but she way over sprays all of them. She had chemo a couple of years ago and jokes that she can smell anything since then, so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it…but she is oblivious to hints. I have hinted to her that it is a little strong (like wow, is that a new perfume, I can smell it from here?) but she can’t take a hint. Some of her stronger ones my boss has asked her not to wear anymore, which she “confided” to me really hurt her so I don’t want to go to my boss about it.It didn’t used to be that bad, but ever since I have been pregnant it gives me horrible headaches and if she is doing work outside my office I feel like I can hardly breath!any suggestions?(I am 27 weeks along)One other coworker whose office is next to hers has complained both to my boss and to me that he can’t stand it, especially if she borrows his computer and if she used his phone he has to wipe it off first before he can talk on it because of the perfume that sticks to it.
A: How about being kind, but direct..and take responsibility. Your pregnancy may let you get away with something like. “Since I’ve been pregnant I’m extremely sensitive to smells, your perfume is very nice a bit too strong for me…would you mind wearing it a bit more sparsely.” Make eye contact and please be kind. That way it is about you not her.
