I experienced the same thing with both of my pregnancies. You need to tell your doctor about this. It could very well be nothing. Or it could mean that you are anemic (have low iron levels), which is what I was. A simple blood test can chec…

Vertigo (extreme dizzyness) during third trimester?
Q: I was just wondering if anyone else experienced vertigo (extreme dizzyness) during their last trimester. Im almost 38 weeks pregnant and I get so dizzy when I’m laying down. Whenever I move my head I feel like I have a hangover except 10 times as bad. It only lasts like 40 seconds but I have to grab on to the bed it gets so bad. I feel a little dizzy when I walk around, but it is deffinatly worse when I am laying down. My OBGYN said it isn’t related to pregnancy and my doctor says that he doesn’t know why it’s happening and just gives me motion sickness pills. But they really dont help. I was just curious if anyone else has ever felt that, and if you did what did you do to deal with it? I just dont want this to go on when I go into labor. Any advice would be great! Thanks!I did have my blood pressure checked sitting and laying down. They said I was good to go. They also checked my ears and said it didnt look like there was anything wrong at all. It’s really bizzare.
A: I don’t think that sounds like a pregnancy sypmtom. I had vertigo before and it is horrible. It has to do with an inner ear problem. So I would say its not because of your pregnancy. Ofcourse your doctor can’t give you anything for it b/c you are pregnant besides the motion sickness pills. I had to take valium and a couple other meds to keep me balanced when I had it. Are you short? b/c i have noticed in my family that all the women that are shorter than 5’5 has it… just checking.. but be very careful when you walk and getting out of bed… b/c you don’t want to fall.. goodluck and I would get that checked out after the pregnancy. I was being seen by a neurologist for my condition and still am. goodluck
What were you worried about before getting pregnant?
Q: My husband and I have been married 6+ years and have been discussing having a baby. He has a steady paying full-time job which he loves. I am currently employed but my boss is really unfair and kind of wacky (I will give a few examples to prove my point below, but they don’t really pertain to the question). I can not be sure I will continue to stay employed for much longer. These are the things that worry me the most:- I suffer from BPPV (vertigo/dizziness) so I am afraid that will be aggravated by a pregnancy causing issues w/ the pregnancy or forcing me to quit my job- I am worried about finances (we have monthly utilities and a house note- vehicles are paid, no credit card debt) if/when I am not working and putting all of it on my husband- we have no family/support down here (we live in TX whole family lives in IL) so we will be 100% on our ownDid anyone share common concerns? Did things end up working out for you? Do you regret your choice to get pregnant when you did?Unfair/Wacky boss- excuses co-workers absences when her daughter is sick with no doctor’s note and no questions asked, but will not excuse my sick days with a doctor’s note- told me that she will excuse absences for child’s illness because they need their parents- I left early from work Mon with fever, sore throat, stuffy head etc, and she called my husband’s job to make sure he was there… she thought I was just playing hooky- she held 2 days of pay when I was only out 1 day- she asked me to lie during a compliance audit (fortunately the question did not come up because I would not lie for her)there is much much more, but as I said they aren’t necessarily relevant… just trying to show why I would like to quit.
A: The thing about life is you can plan and plan and plan and somehow things still come about unexpectedly. I found out I was pregnant a week after I quit my job. Its really scary, but I don’t regret being pregnant one bit. The only thing I would make sure of is that you and your baby can be covered under your hubby’s insurance or you can afford your COBRA payments in the event that you leave your job. Insurance will be your best friend and you don’t have to do the whole extravagant pregnancy thing. The three big expenses will be the car seat, the crib, and the stroller, and the most expensive one is not necessarily the safest. Almost everything else you can get second hand or at cheap department stores. Save money by breast feeding and get the cheapest diapers out there. Being pregnant has been a wonderful surprise. As long as you can give a baby lots of love you’ll be just fine. As far as the BPPV goes well I don’t have it or know much about it, but assuming the symptoms aren’t too severe they’ll probably just got lost in the sea of other obnoxious pregnancy side affects. You’ll have aches in places you’ve never ached before, and be all other sorts of miserable sometimes, but your friends and loved ones will pamper the sh** out of you making it more than worthwhile. I hope you do have a baby some day because its a great experience.
I think I am pregnant…but bleeding HELP!!?
Q: Okay so I have a wacky story to tell. I think I am going out of my mind and would just like a general opinion from people that may have experienced the same things I am right now. Sorry for the long explanation I just want to put as much info as I can!! :)****SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY NO SMART @SS COMMENTS DO NOT WASTE MY TIME OR YOURS!!!!****I have my periods on time every month but for the last 3 months they have been weird….I bleed but not too heavy and it stops in 4 days maybe less. Normally I bleed for 5 days my second day being the heaviest and then it dies down. My last period was on the 15th of October and ended the 18th. This month I started the night of the 14th only filling one tampon (not even that much) then spotting at times when I wipe (not all the time though). I had one mild episode of a cramping but thats it! I have been having nausea during these last 3 months and also my eyesight has been very wacky I have been getting double vision alot…not all the time but the longer I am up the worse it gets….when I relax it seems to calm down. It sorta feels like vertigo (which I had before) but there is more to what I am feeling. I have not been throwing up but have had sometimes when I gag. I have been sleeping all day then up all night. I try to get up during the day but I just lay there. I have gained a few pounds too in my stomach only. The rest of me has gotten smaller (my mom has noticed this) and I havent been eating too much at all…just thirsty most of the time. I have been getting mild headaches too. 2 months ago I remember having to take medicine for my back cause I kept waking up from this pain that was like a knot in my back. Now it is just tense but for the most part okay now. I took a pregnancy test 2 months ago an it was negative but not since then have I taken one. I dont want to get my hopes up like so many times before so I just rolled with it. But now I am confused and worried that I am imagining things because I feel twinges down where I should be cramping. Also I have been peeing alot (because I am always thirsty) and doing #2 alot too (constipated at times).I also have to say that I have only one tube due to an ectopic pregnancy I had before so that is why I am soo skeptical about pregnancy but I just need some advice and honest opinions. I know what an ectopic pregancy feels like and I dont have any pain whatsoever so I have ruled that out completely. What do you think???Oh and I forgot to add that my breasts are sore and I can see the veins in them too, my nipples even seem larger…and I get heat flashes too…irritable at times then completely sweet the next and I am 27 years old and married for 4 years. We dont use any kind of birth control.
A: “I took a pregnancy test 2 months ago an it was negative but not since then have I taken one. I dont want to get my hopes up like so many times before so I just rolled with it”Please take a pregnancy test and go see your doctor for a beta blood pregnancy test. If I hadn’t done so I wouldn’t have known I was miscarrying. I got a negative home test but positive blood test and needed to get a Rhogam shot to prevent another miscarriage from Rh incompatability. Most women don’t know this. If woman has negative blood type and father has positive she will need a Rhogam shot during pregnancy and usually within 72 hours after miscarriage if it was confirmed she was pregnant. My mother-in-law lost 7 babies before medical technology and Rhogam was invented. If you are miscarrying you could be at risk for an incomplete abortion, carrying twins and still not knowing if you have the other one, or have a problem that prevents you from holding a pregnancy due to a cervix that won’t close during pregnancy. I didn’t need to go to the hospital but did need to keep in touch with my doctor and get a follow up ultrasound to make sure it was a complete miscarriage and continue getting the blood test till the hcg went down to zero. He also made me stay in bed for two weeks till it was over.
