A: No it’s not possible because when one has a hysterectomy the dr. makes a whole new structure at the very top of the vagina where the cervix used to be if you are not keeping your cervix. Basically it is a closed area at the top of the vagina so no sperm can get up to fertilize an egg in a tube. If you keep your cervix the dr. still closes up the top area of the cervix which is about the size of a coat button to make sure that it stays closed. When you have sex the sperm may go up into the cervix but it won’t have anywhere else to go so it will come out. If there is no cervix then you will still have the area up there closed so that sperm will basically come out still.

Generally, it’s an etopic pregnancy, but sometime the fetus will attach to another body organ. It can be dangerous to the mother – if she thinks she may be pregnant, she should see a Dr. asap
