Am I pregnant? Please help me! :(?
Q: I have not had unprotected sex. When my boyfriend and I do have sex, it is always with a condom, and he even pulls out with the condom on to be doubly safe. I haven’t had sex since about New Year’s Eve. My periods have always been weird; I often skip a period in between 2 (I usually have 7-9 period a year, and they last anywhere from 7-14 days). I haven’t had a period since around Christmas. I started an intense workout/diet regime after New Year’s and have lost substantial amounts of weight since then. The only reason I am concerned is that my breasts are becoming tender. I have no other symptoms (besides looking bloated and an upset stomach when I woke up, but I think that’s because I ate junk food last night for the first time in weeks). What is your opinion? Do you think I am pregnant?
A: I don’t think it is possible to get pregnant without the sperm actually getting inside of you, and it looks like you guys are SUPER cautious about it.You are saying you lost some weight – it alone is often enough to make your periods irregular, + you can’t boast of having regular ones anyways.I never had regular periods until recently, just like you. One time in my life I didn’t have a period for more than 9 months (enough to give birth, right? 🙂 ), went through tons of hormone schemes, etc…Anyways, it is not like Christmas was 4 months ago, don’t worry.Your breasts may be getting tender as a sign of the upcoming period. If you are concerned (again, WHY would you be, you guys are using condoms…), take a test. But, really, in this particular situation I wouldn’t be worried at all.
