Q: My sister’s Erin and Misty are pregnant and so am I.Erin is due May 9th.I’m due May 12th.Misty is due June 25th.As strange as this sounds, it gets weirder. Misty just found out she was pregnant on Tuesday. She hasn’t had a period since August, but every time she took a test it came back negative.This is both Erin and Misty’s third pregnancy, however both of Misty’s ended bad (one was a miscarriage at three months and the other died when he was due in two weeks). A: Actually… I do.I had my daughter about 5 months ago. The night I went into labor, my husband and I had sex, my water broke about 10 minutes later. I was 28 weeks along.About 21 years ago, my mother had the EXACT same thing happen to her, around the EXACT same time in pregnancy. Only diff she went by months and not weeks, so she said she was about 6 1/2 or 7 months…which is pretty darn close to 28 weeks! FREAKY!

Does anyone have any advice on how to stop my Labrador getting so excited??

Q: My Labrador Misty shakes uncontrollably when she knows she is going for a walk. She quite often knocks ppl over running around and bombing out the door but we have that pretty much under control (most of the time). We all take in turns walking her daily and she has a minimum of 20 to 30 mins of vigorous exercise but every day she acts like she hasn’t walked for weeks. I’ve done the ‘mock’ getting ready to walk so that she’s never sure if we’re going or not but I swear she’s psychic, she just knows!!I am trying for a baby and desperately want her to calm down before I get pregnant as she has knocked me over twice before.Please could someone advise me what may have worked for them?Ellie.My Labrador Misty shakes uncontrollably when she knows she is going for a walk. She is anything but a nervous dog and has an incredible amount of exercise daily. Its not just a 20 min walk but flat out running the whole time we are in the fields.Ellie.p.s. A: Change the route that you walk and walk more. If you have the ability place the dog outdoors(via chain/fenced yard)for 15 to 30 min before the walk this will wear the dog down and also let the dog use the restroom. This will keep the dog from using outer peoples yard/ the sidewalk. As for knocking/ jumping on you you need to stop that now because the dog will do the same thing with the child.Next time that misty jumps push her away saying no at the same time say no in a firm voice and inore her. Something that works also is when she jumps grab both of her paws and hang on while saying no. If you want to take it a step further take one or two steps backward say no as soon as the dog jumps up. Just make sure that she knows that you are not playing use a firm almost yelling no when she STARTS to jump and she will eventually stop. Keep your hands low placing your hands above your sholders or above will peak your dogs intrest and may cause her to jump.Goodluck
