A: From the plan b and the crazy amount of BC pills you took, if you were pregnant i would assume they would have kicked that thing right out of your body like your immune system attacking a virus.

My boyfriend and I do not use condoms when we are having sex (both of us are positively clean), but the directions on the pills specifically state that a back up method is not neccessary (I am aware their effectiveness is 96% – 98.9%) I have also heard that the effectiveness can be as low as 87% for some people… and this worries me. I take the pill between 10-11 pm each day and if I happen to forget I ALWAYS take the missed pill as soon as I remember (often along with another that I have not missed) I have never missed more than 2 in a row and I have never not taken a pill at all (except the placebo types that you take while on your period. (again, the directions state to throw out the placebo pills if you miss one or two.)

Well, my last pill (placebo) ended Sat. 7/26. I had my period on Wed. 7/23. I had unprotected sex Sunday, Monday, and Wed of this week. I just was not thinking and got caught up in the heat of the moment and we are not used to condoms because we are married and use only the pill. I did not pick up new birth control pills last weekend because we did not have enough money and we had a wedding to go to. I decided to get the emergency contraception pill today and then i read up on it after i took the first pill and i feel terrible because it says it can prevent a fertilized egg from implanting in the uterus. I do not want to kill my baby if im pregnant!!!!!!! Should I not take the other pill? And if I don’t do you think that a fertilized egg might be ok? Or do i have to take the pill in order not to mess up my body? I have no idea when i could of ovulated or will ovulate?! I just know that 7/27 would have been day 5 in my cycle, monday would have been day 6, and wed would have been day 8. I’m just really upset and confused. Somebody please help me. I am going to use condoms the rest of the month and then start a new pack of birth control pills if im not pregnant obviously. A: You need to call your doctor about the specifics but generally if you take the 1st pill you need to take the 2nd to complete it… Plan B will not cause an abortion if a fertilized egg already implanted itself.
