Q: Is this legal?
A: I’d probably be the most famous person in the world because I’m a woman – lol – but actually, why would you sleep with your cousin in the first place? eeww, that’s gross dude! make sure she’s absolutely positively pregnant by you before opening that can of worms!
What would you do if you got pregnant with your first cousin?
Q: He is 23 and i am 22 and we did something very wrong obviously. Now im having his baby but no one knows ANYTHING about it yet. What should i do? abort the baby and don’t say anything about this? My mom and dad would kill me if they get to know..
A: Well, in many countries and U.S. states, marriage between 2 cousins are legal and it has been scientifically proven that a 2 cousins baby has only like 6% or 7% of having birth deffects….so i think you definitely should not abort the baby and tell your parents the truth, maybe it will not be that bad as you think after all….Ignore the comments that your baby will have birth deffects, the chances of that happenning are very lowhttp://www.kaisernetwork.org/daily_reports/rep_index.cfm?DR_ID=10429&hint=2
If you got raped by your cousin and became pregnant would you get an abortion?
Q: I’m just wondering what would you do in this situation yourself? 14 years ago my older cousin pushed me into having sex with him when I didn’t want to. I actually kept the baby, at first I was going to get an abortion but I walked out of the abortion office and was too afraid to go through with it. My daughter actually turned out very beautiful and normal and I have a really very close relationship with her, but our family has nothing to do with this cousin anymore, and he’s never been a part of her life. I haven’t told my daughter about the way she was conceived yet…and I’m really not sure how to do it or if I should ever, if you have any ideas on this too you can let me know.
A: Considering that I am completely infertile, if I managed to get pregnant under the most horrifying or bizarre of circumstances *I* would most likely not have an abortion. But I can’t say for sure because I can’t conceive of every scenario and I certainly wouldn’t say what anyone else should do. You will have a difficult time explaining the circumstances surrounding your daughter’s conception to her. There are people who have had to explain difficult things like this before and I’m willing to bet there is a book (or two) written on the subject. There are certainly a million books on the subject of discussing difficult adoptions with a child (my daughter is adopted so I’ve seen lots of these books), so I’m betting there are some resources for your situation too. Seek them out. Find out how other people have dealt with it. But I’m sure it will come down to the most important thing being that you love your daughter – so I wouldn’t let yourself worry too much about it.
