Tell them not to get mad and then tell them. You might want someone to support you when you are telling them so that you are not too nervous.

Good way to tell parents at Easter?
Q: Hi Everyone!Hubby and I just found out we’re pregnant a few days ago, and we’re thrilled! My family is coming in for Easter, and I wanted to know if this would be a good way to tell them, or if you have any additional cute suggestions. (I’m such a geek, I’m nervous to tell them, even though we’re both 25, and have been married for 2 years, haha)I already made them an Easter basket with pacifiers, 2 nursing blankets, a rattle, a bib, and a travel pack of baby shampoo, powder, desitin, and lotion. I’m also thinking of getting a carrot cake saying “See ya in December, love Baby”.What are your opinions, ladies? I’m not sure if we should announce before dinner, or wait until after, and I’m also undecided on what to have the cake say, or if the cake would be too much altogether. What do you think?Baby dust to everyone TTC 🙂
A: You guys will probably be bubbling over to tell them! So im assuming before dinner will be when it is. Tell them you want to have an easter egg hunt right when they come in and lead blue and pink eggs down to a pregnancy test saying positive (if you still have it) or maybe the basket you made with the baby items. Either way, everyone will be excited this easter!!!! congrats!
If you were 17 and pregnant how would you tell your parents?
Q: (I am using my sisters yahoo account)I know it is a little immature but I am really scared…I was thinking of telling my mother over facebook chat so I wouldn’t have to see the disappointment on her face if I was to tell her in person (although i will probably get called downstairs anyway)and then I was going to get my mother to tell my father so I don’t have to get the brunt of his anger (the first few moments has to be the worst!!) The baby’s dad is going to stick by me (he never stops talking about it) and we have been engaged for some time now (much before we found out about me being pregnant) and my parents are fine with us being engaged. When the baby is born I will nearly be 18 years old and I know this is still too young but I don’t agree with abortions and neither does the father. Do you think this is the best way for me to tell them as I really don’t think i can tell them face to face….and how would you tell them if you were in my situation?Thankyouand please no rude comments like “you should have used a condom” because we did but unfortunately it slipped off inside me (gross i know) but what’s done is done and we have to step up and be responsible…i just need to get over this hurdle first then i think i will feel much better…By the way we live in the UK so we don’t have school…and we are well off for money so that isn’t a problem…it’s just the parents *eek*
A: I’d sit down with them and the father and just come out and say mom, we’re pregnant. That way if she has any questions or anger both of you can deal with it together as a couple and future parents. Then after a moment or so tell them you’ve thought about it and don’t think abortion is the right choice for you but you would appreciate any help or advice they could give you.
