A: ohhh my. yes the baby will have weed in its system. and if they test the levels, it will have an INCREDIBLE amount of weed in its system. i smoked for the first 20 something weeks of my pregnancy, i quit in september because it takes 2x as long to get out of the babys system as it does hers. so say it takes 30 (it could take more though! up to 90!) days to get out of HER system, its going to take 60 to get out of the babies. If they test the baby at birth child protective services are going to get involved and its goign to be UGLY. she will probably loose her baby for a while and have to go to rehab and prove to the courts that she is a worthy mother and isn’t going to be doped up all the time.i quit for this sake. i don’t want to take that risk.

A: Not only is this hurting HER health, she is also hurting the baby. It is no longer a question of whether or not the unborn will be harmed by nicotine use during pregnancy, but of the degree, number, types, noticeability and lifetime impact of the harms actually inflicted. Will the hospital take your baby away if you got high at 4 months pregnant?

Q: I just came home from the hospital from having heart palpitations cause I smoked weed that i thought was ok but i guess it wasnt. I’m 4 months pregnant, and wanted to know what will happen to my baby for getting high at 4 month and having severe heart palpitations? I smoked a roach (which is a small piece of a blunt, not a whole blunt). I have to follow up with a gynecologist tomorrow and am hoping everythings ok. But wil they take the baby away for something that happened months before the baby? Or does there have to be drugs in the babys system at birth fo the baby to be taken away?I live in Florida!!!!!!!!

A: They should!But no, if they find you have marijuana in your system, they’ll give you a warning that if they find it in your system again, they’ll have child services involved with you and your child upon his/her birth….at least in my State.
