Q: I am 31 years old and no matter what temperature I set the AC and the ceiling fan I cant seem to get away with waking up because of the heat. Im I going through menopause? I
A: You’re more than likely too young for menopause, but it is possible. I would suspect a hormone imbalance is probably the culprit. The only way to find out for sure is to consult your doctor or see an Endocrinologist (a doctor who specializes in hormones). Being dehydrated can effect your body temperature, as well as sun exposure and some medications. If this continues, I suggest talking to your doctor.
How to sleep without waking up intervals at night?
Q: I had scoliosis surgery. I take pain medications before I sleep. I wake up at the middle of the night and get quite bothered by the pain. I want to sleep well without waking up at intervals in the night.
A: im not sure that i really have an answer for you, because i have the same problem(not scoliiosis surgery) but pain, and it wakes me up several times in the middle of the night, and i cant remember the last time that i slept through the night i get woke up in the middle of the night several times because of the pain. i have several back problems plus i was in an explosion last year and broke most of the bones in my face, and broke my collar bone(which after a year still hasnt completly healed) anyway so i take lots of pain pills throughout the day, and still have problems sleeping.now to your problem. have you tried any kind of natural sleep aides to help you sleep, or been to your doctor to see if there is something else that might be keeping you from sleeping??? there are doctors out there that specialize in sleep problems or pain management to help control the pain. i know its tough, but try and talk with your doctor or try and find another doctor to see if there is something he can do.
