Republican Presidential Candidates

The 2012 Republican Presidential Candidates travel across the United States in hopes to get votes. But, does your vote really count? How many of you actually participate in polls? What are the real truths? Truthfully, I don’t know, but I can tell you some things I have witnessed as of late.

I am a campaign manager for Tom Bruzzesi, a 2012 Republican candidate for president. As I make phone calls to the media whether it’s newspapers, magazines, radio, or television stations, Mr. Bruzzesi is heavily ignored. Why would media ignore an unknown candidate? We already here about the so-called main candidates. I also have wondered how those who haven’t even entered the race who might enter have poll ratings. Media attention? What a great guess!!! Fox news and Politico, a magazine I just heard about before even getting into politics, are running the show. That’s right, the media is trying to choose our next president without letting other contenders debate, yet “all men are created equal.” I’m sorry, I should have said Fox is definitely “fair and balanced.” How is not letting other candidates fair?

Anyone see any bitterness yet? More to come. Tom Bruzzesi and I went to Poinciana, Florida to listen to Michelle Bachman speak at a town hall meeting. But wait!! This “town” hall meeting was inside a gated community, which means this was only open to residents inside this community and not open to the public. From my recollection, town hall meetings are supposed to be public. No, this was not a fundraiser either. What this tells me is that Michelle Bachman doesn’t only buy votes in Iowa. Tom and I drove 3 hours to see her, but what do we do now.

Across the highway was a Wal-Greens, so we parked over there for a few minutes and discussed some strategy. Before the gates of the community, there were protesters with signs who were extremely upset with Bachman. They were unhappy with her beliefs and they could not get in. Michelle’s bus did enter as Tom Bruzzesi and I exited Wal-Greens. We both said simultaneously, “let’s go talk to those people.” These people were “progressives” and Tom Bruzzesi is a Republican. Mr. Bruzzesi spoke with a few of them about beliefs and differences. One lady said, “I would vote for you if you could meet us in the middle.” This is valuable. Only if Michelle Bachman stopped the bus and got out and talked to these people with indifference, she could have persuaded someone on the other side to vote or at least let them know she is willing to acknowledge problems with the possibility of compromise. Thanks to Michelle Bachman, Tom Bruzzesi more than likely will receive votes from those with different views. I do have video of some of this, which will be in my next article.
