Fear of God

Fear can be defined as an unpleasant feeling, anxiety, worry, afraid, or reverence and respect of somebody or something.

The bible instructs its readers in Philippians 2:12 to work out their own salvation with fear and trembling.

King James Version

Philippians 2:12.Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Other scriptures that are written down in the bible for the reader is Proverbs 1:7 that states the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 14:26-27 states that in the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children will have a place of refuge. 27: The fear of the Load is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

In the Old Testament Ecclesiastes 12:13 instructs the reader to fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man.

The bible was written for people to use as a guide line as how to live a good life and teach people how to set standards for their selves and their children.

As a reader reads the bible and studies what it says the words become alive and then God begins to lead, guide, and direct their path into what is wholesome and holy.

In Matthew 10:28 Jesus is teaching the people not to fear them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Things that are lacking the fear of God are in our present culture, our lifestyles, our beliefs and perversions. People are mostly focused on their pulses and make foolish decisions that result in terrible consequences.

A Godly fear provides security and a sound foundation for life. A person who submits him or herself to God is a person who will have strong confidence.

A Godly fear will lead to satisfaction of life, a favorable life, blessings and prosperity.

A person who submits to God is also safe and secure knowing they are under the mighty hand of God.

A Godly fear is a healthy fear it’s the kind of fear that children should have toward their parents and parents should have when raising children and setting standards for everyday living.
