The Acer Aspire One Laptop

About a year or so ago my fiancee and I decided that we should have a laptop. Now at first we were looking for the cheapest one we could find because we were not made of money. We didn’t care about the size of it, how large the screen was, what kind of web cam it had; all we wanted was cheap.

A trip to Walmart with some cash in our pockets found us a wonderful little netbook for a little over $200.00 at the time. It came with a built in webcam and microphone and was perfect for our little space. The Acer AspireOne laptop is tiny and compact but has enough space and hard drive to work very well while holding more then one account on it filled with our music, pictures, internet, videos and more!

I love using the laptop because it types smoothly and its not a hassle to carry around when we want to take it with us. It has three USB ports which comes in handy when my fiancee wants to plug in his mouse, his mp3 player and our printer all at the same time.

It does have its down sides though that I hope they get fixed in the future. The laptop didn’t come with a disc drive so if you want one you are going to have to get one seperate from the laptop itself. Also, the battery can be very touchy and can be worn out or used up easily. Ours was strong at first but now it keeps so little of a charge that we don’t even have the battery plugged in anymore and we go straight from the outlet charger to keep the computer running.

Despite the small problems it has that might seem big at the time, if taken care of, the Acer Aspire One laptop, ours is blue and it came in a variety of other colors, is a very nice netbook for a small space or a college student. It is a wonderful beginning laptop as well for teenagers who’s parents don’t want them burning music all the time or for those who have a very limited amount of money for a gift item.
