Am I like the only person that finds it weird for a guy to want cosmetic surgery?
Q: I know it’s not a sexist procedure but it still weirds me out to see these metrosexual guys wanting cosmetic procedures done – – okay I get it that men can have maincures, pedicures, and massages, hair products too but come on now cosmetic surgery what’s next Dick implants!! I need my man a little ruff around the edges these guys are getting too soft – boarder line fairies if you ask me…
A: I don’t see anything wrong with it, and I wouldn’t go so far as to say they are all fairies, but I do believe some men AND women take it too far.But this goes in the same category as men having anorexia. Its not a common thing and its generally not well advertised as being the norm or even being heard of, so it usually puts a weird taste in your mouth. With or without surgery, everyone should just live in a way that makes them happy, so long as they are not ruining the lives of others.
Mother got plastic suregery to look like daughter, what do you think?
Q: You know when I first saw the title and read this my first instict was “gross!” But now that it’s settled for a bit I actually don’t think it’s that bad she had a boob job (well before the new work), and then got her eyes and nose done (which in today’s times isn’t much) oh oops and her lips plumped. My mom has got her breasts done, and her eyes because she is a performer (classical violinist), and was single so she wanted to make herself feel better (mind you she didn’t get DD’s she has full B’s and her eyelids were drooping giving her migraines and Kaiser offered to do it for free for the medical reasons). So overall I think the only weird part is that she looks like her daughter… Although people get cosmetic surgery all the time and ask their doctors to make them look like a certain celebrity and people don’t think that’s weird. This mother looks great for her age! And even though the before picture of her doesn’t make her look to great if any of you know people who have gotten plastic surgery (atleast those procedures) you know that to look as good as she does now she must have looked decent before. On a side note, kudos to her for loosing her weight the right way (through diet and exercise) versus getting it all suctioned out! Here is the article:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1170348/The-50-year-old-mother-spent-10-000-surgery-look-like-daughter.html
A: I really don’t see any thing wrong with it. She looks great she feels great and I bet she is one happy lady.
Will check my article, say what you think?
Q: This is my homework for English class. (I’m not a native speaker) It’s the first article I’ve ever written and I want to become a journalist so it will really help me if you correct my mistakes or just say what you think. Did it have any effect on you? I will not say the title tough I like it 😀 because (this is weird I know) my classmates may find it on google and copy it.————————-What can make a beautiful 23-year-old girl decide to go under the knife and have 10 plastic procedures in a day? Heidi Montag was first known for taking part in the reality show The Hills. As her 15 minutes of fame were over she decided to attract people’s attention by having as many surgeries as she can. We all know that now many women like Heidi want to have parts of their bodies corrected. They are ready to do everything it takes to reach their goal but is it worth it? Why would people want to change the way they look, the way God made them? It’s always connected with complexes or in Montag’s case – insecurity and Hollywood pressure. It only proves that you can’t deal with difficulties and you’re weak. People can’t accept their age, they want to look younger and at the end it makes them look fake rather than beautiful.I can only agree with cosmetic surgeries when you want to hide a scar or other defects, which may bring back many bad memories. It seems to me that there are still quite many people who will never think of having any procedures no matter how many “perfect” people they see on magazines’ covers. These are the ones who want to be natural and real, they want to be loved for who they are. I hope you’re one of these people and if you’re not, I hope you find the strength to change this. Don’t forget – when you’re fake inside, within you, there isn’t a procedure that will make you look really beautiful.
A: Here we go:What can make a beautiful 23-year-old girl decide to go under the knife and have (ten) [Associated Press style is spell out one through 10 and use numerals in most other cases; check the AP Stylebook] plastic [surgery] procedures in a day? Heidi Montag was first known for taking part in the reality show The Hills. As her 15 minutes of fame were over[,] she decided to attract people’s attention by having as many surgeries as she can [could]. We all know that now [Lose the “we all know” unless you know if for sure; start with “Many women…”] many women like Heidi want to have parts of their bodies corrected [That’s subjective; “corrected” means there is something wrong, but you said Heidi was beautiful; maybe you could put it in quotes]. They are ready to do everything it takes to reach their goal [-] but is it worth it? Why would people want to change the way they look, the way God made them? It’s always connected with complexes [“always”? How do prove/support that?] or in Montag’s case[, instead of the dash] – insecurity and Hollywood pressure. It only proves that you can’t deal with difficulties and you’re weak. [You didn’t say, but is this supposed to be an “op-ed piece”? Otherwise, it’s way too subjective. It lacks facts.] People can’t accept their age, they want to look younger and at the end it makes them look fake rather than beautiful.I can only agree with cosmetic surgeries when you want to hide a scar or other defects, which may bring back many bad memories. It seems to me that there are still quite many people who will never think of having any procedures no matter how many “perfect” [good use of those quotes] people they see on magazines’ covers. These are the ones who want to be natural and real, they want to be loved for who they are. I hope you’re one of these people and if you’re not, I hope you find the strength to change this. Don’t forget – when you’re fake inside, within you, there isn’t a procedure that will make you look really beautiful.Okay, I’m going for this being an op-ed piece, so I like it. Disregard my “subjective” comments, go with my grammatical ones, and call it a day. However, did this girl really have 15 procedures in one day?! I would put a little bit more information about that in there … maybe even show before and after pictures with the article.
