My friend just turned 15 two days ago. She is mildly overweight, but she is tall and she is sporty, so it really doesnt show. Personally, i find her beautiful, but she won’t listen. She has stopped eating lunch and breakfast. i dont know if she eats supper, but i am very worried about her. she has lost about 10 lbs in a few weeks. she argues that it is the only thing that works to loose weight. i tried to talk to her, but i have very small bones and am consiquently thin. so she wont listen to me. please, i really need help! another one of my friends is contemplating the idea now. i noticed she is eating less, and when ever i bring up the subject, she seems to not be opposed to teh idea of anorexia. Please, i fear for my friends’ well-being. of you can help us, any suggestions are welcome. thank you.

Talk an adult. A teacher, a parent, anyone you trust. Your friend needs help before the problem gets really out of control (if it’s not already there).
You are a really good friend and person. Unfortunatly the only way to help her is to talk to her parents or even your parents about it and perhaps they can help you help your friend. Talk to your other friend who is thinking of doing about the risks of it. Research it for yourself Know the dangers to it and tell them of this. Here is a link to get you started:http://www.mamashealth.com/anorexia.asp. Good luck to you and once again you are a very good friend.
Either you call her parents or find out who her doctor is before she dies! Its up to you know, please help her and tell someone that will help her.
You need to talk to your school counselor. If that makes you uncomfortable, tell him/her and ask that they don’t tell your friend that it was you that said something. The could bring her in and say that they had noticed a problem, or another teacher noticed a problem. You can’t take care of this yourself. You need to try to get an adult involved! Good for you for being such a good friend.
You can’t help her. Anorexia is a mental disorder. She can’t control it either. You can be her friend no matter what. Take the step and talk to her parents, or your parents or teacher. Let an adult know. That’s the help you can give, and that’s the help she needs from you now. Hopefully someone will listen to you and take steps to save her life!
if she or both of your friends does not want to eat meals – suggest to them to drink ensure – that will give them all the nutrients in a meal and keep them at a healthy weight – also dietary supplements will give them the same nutrients but the pills should be taken with at least one full course meal a day.
Well give her some food she can”t resist. If she’s a chocoholic, offer some of your chocolate. Try convincing her that she isn’t fat(yes i know that’s difficult). Besides that, there really isn’t anything u can do. Your friend will just have to gain self-esteem and see if u can help her get it. Compliment her every once in a while to make her feel better. If worst comes to worst..tell an adult. My school has forms that students can fill out to tell the counselors that their friend is anorexic, doing drugs, in a gang, etc. and remain anonymous. if your school doesn’t have that, tell the counselor and ask to remain anonymous.hope i helped! 🙂
