Would you tell a girlfriend or any female that you care about that she has a vaginal odor problem? My sister in-law always has a very noticeable fishy odor and it lingers in the furniture after she gets up. It gets really bad on car rides too. It’s not all the time, just for a few days every month. During a conversation once, she said that her flow is so light that she only has to use one pad all day. YUCK!I don’t dare say anything, but my 3 year-old has started to notice and he will let her know if I don’t keep an eye on him.Would you tell?

If you’re close enough to her as a friend I would. I wouldn’t want to be embarrased in public like that.
If you’re noticing it then others are noticing it. While she might get embarassed that you said something, in the long run she’ll be glad to know. If you are not very close to her you might want to talk to another female closer to her about it. Just think if you’d want someone telling you that, wouldn’t that be better than you smelling?
ewww, on the couch?? she needs to change even if its light cause you sweat down there also. tell her but in a nice way
When she told you that she only used one pad all day, that would have been a good opportunity to tell her. If you can’t find a way to bring up the topic, perhaps letting your 3 year old “accidently” say something would be a way to get the conversation started. Maybe you could suggest that she use scented pantiliners instead of larger pads.
if it was you instead of her, would you want her to say somethin got you about your odor? i know i would. so. TELL HER! who cares if she gets pissed. that’s alot better than her having to walk around smellin like fish all day.
Yes please tell her. There is nothing worse than smelling the menstruation of another female. I had a female in one of my classes who smelled every month and even though I didn’t personally know her I felt compelled to pull her aside and tell her. After that day she didn’t smell anymore. Some females don’t have the best personal hygiene habits and it’s very noticeable during that time. Be polite when you tell her but do tell her. Once a day is nasty, if she had surgery and was only bleeding a little she would change her bandages often to prevent infection. The same logic should be applied to her cycle.
let the 3 year say whatever its better comin from him than u .cuz he’s lil and she cant get mad at him 4 itif u were 2 tell her i think shed B pretty pissedso go ahead let him “spill the beans”
A fishy odor is a sign of a vaginal infection and yes you need to tell her as left untreated some vaginal infection can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease.
It is sometimes hard to tell the person that you care about when the have a problem . It is very important that you make your family member aware of the problem that the have or that you have notice . It maybe a problem that needs to be address or a serious health problem . She needs to take proper care of herself . Whether your period is light or heavy after a period of time the stale blood become foul and that is just a horrible smell. It is nasty to keep on a single pad for the entire day . You may want to suggest that she changes her habits to prevent infections in her vaginal area . Best of luck
