lorazapam and xanax?
what is the difference between lorazapam and xanax they are both 2 mg. i have been taking the lorazapam and it isnt working so the doc gave me xanax. are they in the same family or can i have an allergic reaction. what will it do to me?

Same family but oh so different results.I have taken both and xanax is the best ever to take trust me Zanax is by far better. Lorazapam is generic ativan. I am on lorazapam as well, the pharmacy gave it to me in place of xanax, so i think you r ok.
lorazapam is ativan. yes its the same family of benzodiazapines.what are you taking it for? anxiety attacks? i’ve taken the xanax myself a few times, for anxiety and it works well for me. 2mg is alot of medication. be very careful with it and only take it as prescribed , as it is highly addictive!! i work in a detox, and i see alot of xanax abuse. They are in the same family used for controlling anxiety. Xanax is longer acting.
