Q: Yes, banks have lost money and the gov is investigating as to what happened but who is going to talk about all the money the banks and mortgage institutions made in the midst of the feeding frenzy?
A: Many banks and lending institutions made the original loans and money, then sold them. The government bought most and they will be the one losing money. Don’t think they will lose it alone though. Taxes will help. The real money makers were the Real Estate agents. High commissions and no loss when this all goes down. Of course they aren’t making much money now.

What kind of paper is money made out of?
Q: My fathers Birthday is coming up and lets just say… he makes a good amount of money. I want to make him a card made of the same paper a US dollar is made out of. I think he would love it. I heard it’s illegal to have the exact type of paper, rightfully so, but I’m trying to get something as close as possible. This man knows what money feels like, so I think it only best to get it almost exact. Thanks everyone!
A: Paper money in the United States is 100% cotton and linen ragstock. Here is a link about it:http://www.madehow.com/Volume-3/Paper-Currency.htmlThe only problem is that there is only one manufacturer of the paper used by the Treasury department for U.S. currency, and they only sell it to the government. You might consider getting him an sheet of uncut American currency. See them here:http://www.moneyfactory.gov/store/section.cfm/69/83
