off-balance, head feels vibrating, WIERD!!!!! HELP!!!!?
Q: Ok I really don’t know what’s going on, and I have a neuro appt. in a few weeks, but I was just wondering if this was happening to anyone else. Lately, I have been feeling all kinds of weird feelings in my head. Sometimes it feels as if it was vibrating, and then I’ll feel it on my arms or hands too…then sometimes it will feel like gravity is pulling my one spot of my head in one direction, and another spot in another direction…this gives me a kind of off-balance feeling. It can also be described as a weight on a metal rod going from one side of my head to the other. I am on amoxicillin for two weeks, twice a day for a sinus infection, but when I went to the doctor, I didn’t have any congestion or visible fluid in my ears (she said it could be there, just not in the position I was in)…the reason she diagnosed me with it was because I felt ear pressure occasionally and lately had been extremely off-balance, I had swollen glands, and my nasal tissue was inflamed…I also have an anxiety disorder, but all my anxiety lately has been stemming from this physical symptom…oh, and I may be experiencing somatic symptoms, but I feel that lately my brain has been in a bit of a fog (probably from my anxiety and resulting minor depression, just mentioning it) and my vision seems to be off without any real reason I can describe…I have contacts and it seems the dry air has caused this???….any help/opinions/advice????did NOT mean to put this in mens health!!!
A: Could be some type of blood vessel constriction/ abnormality. A neurologist should definitely be able to tell you what’s going on. Hope you feel better soon. Speaking of soon, you should go see the doc a bit earlier.
Will a psychiatrist prescribe anything for marijuana induced schizophrenia?
Q: I’m about 99.99999% sure I’m a paranoid schizophrenic..I match pretty much every symptom I’ve read about..I’m always paranoid, I have delusions(for example I thought I was Jesus for a while)….I can’t think of what the other symptoms are, my memory is horrible…which I think is actually another symptom..I started smoking when I was about 11, I wasn’t a heavy smoker..but I did smoke.I used to think I had ADHD and anger management problems when I was younger but I never did anything about itStarting in 5th grade I did very poor in school even though I’m very smartwell anyways, in the past couple years, I’ve been smoking A LOT..I was always paranoid, but it started getting worse and worseI had what I know now to be somatic hallucinations(felt like my bones were breaking and stuff) and I started feeling like people were saying bad things about me and stuffwell I started doing some research and I kinda matched anxiety, depression, ADHD, and paranoiaat this point I didn’t even know what schizophrenia wasbut I made an appointment with a GP so I could get a recommendation to a psychiatrist and I told him a little about my symptoms and he said it sounded like anxiety..but I was talking to someone about it and they said it sounded like schizophrenia(I thought that was like split personalities)so I looked it up and to my surprise, I matched almost every single symptom..the only one I didn’t match was having hallucinations, but I have like every type of hallucination while I’m high(visual, auditory, somatic, and tactile)I just realized this question is all over the place, sorryanyways..does this sound like I have schizophrenia?or does it sound like drug induced psychosis or whatever..I cut WAYYY back on the weed a few months ago, like maybe a half bowl every night, and tapered to a complete stop…I relapsed a few times but I’m 100% done now…it’s been probably about a week since the last time I smoked and it was a couple days between each time before thatbut I have an appointment with a psychiatrist tomorrow(FINALLY) and I just wanted to know what I should expect..I feel depressed a lot lately and my anger problems are getting worse..I still don’t trust anyone and I’ve pushed all my friends away and this is ruining my lifeI really want it to be overwow, I’m really sorry for anyone that actually reads this whole thing..this must be confusingso my question is basically just: Do you think the psychiatrist will prescribe my something for Schizophrenia on the first visit, even though it was probably caused by marijuana?thank you whoever helpsOh and I’m a 19 year old maleI didn’t know what it was till I looked it up….And from what I’ve read, only some of the people with schizophrenia don’t know they have it….And if nobody knew they had it, why would they see a psychiatrist to get help….?
A: weed does not cause schizophrenia, but rather “drug induced psychosis”. if you are still psychotic, then yes, more than likely they will give you something to counteract the weed. You need to stop smoking it… if you stop smoking and the symptoms go away, it was “drug induced psychosis,” but if you stop smoking & the symptoms don’t go away, you may actually be a true schizophrenic
