I am Pregnant w/Bleeding?

Q: okay here i go…I am 3 weeks pregnant and when it was time for my period i had a positive pregnancy test, but i spotted on the MAY 8th for 3 days light brown pink, 7 days later (which is when my period was due) i started bleeding like it is my period..blood test confirmed i am pregnant…i have been reading a lot about implantation bleeding and bleeding in pregnancy….i read that a lot of woman experience some kind of bleeding in the first 12 weeks whether its spotting or heavy….my bleeding is red but not heavy but it is getting on a pad. i went to the ER they called it a “threatened miscarriage”…my hcg level is low and they couldn’t find the baby by and ultra sound which is because it may be to early into pregnancy bc the blood test is showing only 3 weeks pregnant…..it was a 6 whatever that means so in 2days i go for more blood work to see if it doubles or goes lower..if it doubles that’s good i have a normal pregnancy if it doesn’t i am miscarrying……wont know until blood work money!! what you all think????.what are the chances i am miscarrying…..i have NO ABDOMINAL PAIN, NO CRAMPING, NO FEVER, NO PAIN AT ALL.. I FEEL VERY NORMAL JUST BLEEDING..what steps can i take to help my self…..i do smoke cigs to much have cut 3/4 way down…should i just rest and not get up at all or what can i do to hope for the best?for got add this….DID A PELVIC EXAM AND MY CERVIX WAS NOT OPENED…i think that could be a good sign too!!

A: You may well be miscarrying I’m afraid but nobody on the internet can know what is happening inside your body. You will just have to wait for the blood results. Sadly early miscarriage is very common (as many as 1 in 5 pregnancies ends in early miscarriage) and is usually nothing to do with anything you have done, the embryo simply fails to implant properly or there is a genetic fault and your body rejects it.Resting doesn’t really help I’m afraid, what will be will be gravity doesn’t have anything to do with whether your baby stays in your womb. I miscarried at 17 weeks in my first pregnancy and stayed in bed for 3 weeks, it did no good at all.

Is this normal when you have taken Plan B pills? ( Women only plz )?

Q: My bf and I had an “accident” ( the condom broke) and that day I was on my day 12 after my period came out. I know that the vulnerable days to get pregnant are around day 15. So for this reason I took the pill Plan B the next day of the accident. This was tuesday of last week and yesterday sunday I started bleeding a little bit. It stopped but at night I started bleeding again but this time the blood has a very dar red color like wine… It hasn’t stopped and today Im also feeling like depress accompanied with abdominal pain and all the stuff you feel when a normal period comes.I dont considerate this is a normal period because my regular one ended up 7 days before the accident….. is this normal when u take that pill?

A: yes it’s normal. the hormones in Plan B are strong enough to literally cancel your cycle no matter what time of the month it is. It causes you to have an early period so that you don’t get pregnant. Hence, the weird bleeding. The abdominal pains and depression are also due to such a sudden hormone change.But at least you know that Plan B worked and youre not pregnant =)

A: Ectopic pregnancies happen when the egg implants in the fallopian tube instead of the uterus (the egg gets fertilized in the tube, and instead of the egg traveling down to the uterus where it’s supposed to implant, it stays in the tube and implants there). You’ll feel a LOT of pain on one side where the tube and ovary is, it would have you in tears. Loss of apetite happens a lot in early pregnancy, it’s nothing to be concerned about at this point. Spotting is normal, brown means “old blood”, so it’s left over from your last period, and is just cleaning itself out. It’s normal and nothing to worry about.
