Personally, I think that it being illegal makes people that smoke pot paranoid. The red, glassy eyes are a give-away, and since it’s illegal, people get paranoid that others will know they’ve been smoking and call them out on it.By the way, my Abnormal Psychology professor told us that paranoid people usually have a reason to be paranoid.Check out this site for more info:http://paranoia.lycaeum.org/marijuana/fa.
It is even worse. believe me.
Who says that?!?! Huh?! Who are you?Are you with the FBI?Have you been watching me?!
ummm, lets see, hmmmm, —- i forgot
who wants to know? why are you asking me these questions? are you a cop or something?
http://www.well.com/user/woa/fspot.htm.
Yes, it often does.Sometimes more than others.Only while you are high though.
Find out any information or just find some? Gotta go, I think the cops are at my door.Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean someone isn’t out to get you!
it can, and sometimes does. why do you ask? are you following me? why are you looking at me like that?
any mind-altering substance can cause undesired mental issues. I get paranoid when people follow me, but when I turn around they pretend to be reading or something, but I know what their up to. I think some take pictures.
yes it does and everything else that you feel that ain’t right ,that’s what it does
Duh! pot makes you paranoid and it’s even worse.
if you haven’t already leave that crap alone, its bad for youand your brain,Why would you want to take something to makeyou paranoid in the first place,LEAVE IT ALONE
I’ve been smoking pot for almost 40 years, and for me at least, I have gotten less paranoid as time goes on, gaining confidence that I’m not going to totally screw up and make an idiot of myself. I’ve found out that people probably can tell when I’m stoned, but don’t really care as long as it’s not at work, or something like that.
yes it can
Why? Who told you that?!Yes it does. It only does when you’re high though. When you are high most people are simply paranoid that others can tell they are high and also paranoid that a cop will find them or something. So I’ve heard
i dont think so it doesnt make me paranoid it makes me kinda wild and crazy
I don’t think pot itself can make you paranoid. If you are selling it and are worried about getting caught or worried people are going to steal it, you are always watching over your back and that can make you paranoid.
Yeah it does, at least for me. I think it has to do with a person’s frame of mind when smoking. My paranoia (ppl are watching me) gets intensified 400%Other ppl just get the munchies and giggle a lot.
Uh.yeah? Talk to potheads.they are always lots of help. Unless they suspect you’re a cop. You aren’t a cop, are you? Are you, man?
It made me paranoid. I was smokin for a few years and when that starting happening it was time to quit.
I was in a friend’s house one night and there were a few people smoking it. I don’t because I don’t like it. I was sitting chatting when all of a sudden I felt very weird and had to go home. I ran out of the house and towards my car and I would swear there was someone running behind me because I heard their footsteps loud and clear. There was no-one there of course. I had been passive smoking their pot and it definitely made me paranoid.I think the reason why I don’t like it is because I like to be in control and I don’t like the sensations it gives me. That, together with the fact that they’ve no idea yet as to what the long-term effects are. Someone said recently that they think it prevents alzheimers yet studies have also suggested that it causes memory loss and psychosis. I’d rather not take the chance, but it’s all down to personal choice of course.http://www.angelic1healing.com
Smoking pot typically depletes your brain cells and makes you lazy. The recent US Supreme Court decision that the prohibition against marijuana has no exemption for medical use is only one of several important reasons why smoking marijuana to lessen side effects from chemotherapy is not a particularly good idea, say cancer experts. Experts note marijuana’s active ingredients can help some cancer patients alleviate nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite from chemotherapy, but caution that must be weighed against the cancer risks of smoking the drug, especially in light of the availability of other, less risky alternatives. But research aimed at getting the benefits of marijuana’s therapeutic ingredients while eliminating its cancer-causing potential and other undesirable effects should proceed, they add. Pot Smoke Contains Carcinogens “The tars in marijuana smoke are unquestionably carcinogenic,” notes Dawn Willis, PhD, MPH, director of research communication for the American Cancer Society (ACS). “And studies have found that compared with tobacco smoke, marijuana smoke contains four times as much tar.” In a 1999 study comparing cancer rates in marijuana smokers to those in non-smokers, researchers at the University of California at Los Angeles found the average marijuana smoker in the study had two to three times the cancer risk of non-smokers.Considering that many cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy today will survive their disease, patients would be unwise to increase risk of another cancer by smoking marijuana, notes Willis.Active Ingredients May Help Alleviate Symptoms A 1999 review of marijuana research by the Institute of Medicine (IOM), an independent research body affiliated with the National Academy of Sciences, suggests that ingredients in marijuana may help lessen chemotherapy side effects. A National Cancer Institute (NCI) report on marijuana notes that Marinol, a synthetic form of marijuana’s ingredient tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), is approved for treatment of chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting in patients for whom other drugs don’t work. But NCI scientists note that other drugs and drug combinations work better as first choices for most people, and without the feeling of unreality or loss of control associated with marijuana and Marinol that is unpleasant for some people. Pot’s Political Issues Can Obscure Medical IssuesA 1996 referendum by California’s voters left residents of that state able to possess marijuana with a doctor’s note of medical necessity. Open function of marijuana buyers’ clubs there prompted the federal government to sue to shut them down, leading to the recent Supreme Court decision. Numerous other localities in the US have decriminalized medical use of marijuana, and Canada is now considering allowing use of marijuana for terminally ill patients, for others diagnosed with “serious medical conditions,” and for those who have tried standard therapies but believe only marijuana can help them. Opponents argue that advocates are only using the concept of “medical marijuana” as a foot in the door to push for eventual legalization of the drug for any purpose. ACS Supports Cannabinoid Research”The American Cancer Society (ACS) is deeply concerned about the quality of life of cancer patients, and so supports carefully controlled, legal clinical studies of marijuana and research to see if Marinol can be delivered through a transdermal THC skin patch,” says Harmon Eyre, MD, executive vice president for research and medical affairs at ACS. “But the ACS does not advocate inhaling smoke, nor the legalization of marijuana,” adds Eyre.”Eventually, all the active ingredients in marijuana will be identified so that the relief the drug offers can be obtained without its undesirable effects,” concludes Eyre.
uhhh yeah it does if you allow it to. you have to be in control of it not let it control you
