Aleatory Suspensions of Autumn

Mistaken for a whisper of the gentle wind,
the lullaby of the autumn leaves,
the idyllic simplicity of a sunny day…

She wields me in aleatory suspension

Shall I fly away or fall upon the lake of life?
Perhaps she has sent me upon the cordage
I’m against the flaxen edifice of summer…

She wields me in aleatory suspension

Such altruistic hues of unconditional love
Surrounded in her brilliance
the leaves fall upon my saddened soul…

She wields me in aleatory suspension

I find myself basking in the once sun
on the hallowed day
the jack-o-lanterns smile at me…
