Amazing Private Selection Frozen Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Do you love pineapple upside down cake? I do, it has long been my all time favorite cake, but it is time consuming to make so I rarely take the time to treat myself. When I saw the Private Selection Pineapple Upside Down Cake in the freezer section of my Fred Meyer store, it called my name!

The 9.8 ounce box contains two individual cakes that are simple to prepare. I baked these last night for my husband and I, and they were done in as little as fifteen minutes. They can be prepared in the microwave in sixty seconds, but I prefer the conventional oven method.

Each cake comes in a miniature container that resembles a Bundt pan. When I took the cakes out of my oven I let them sit for a few minutes, then placed them on a serving plate and gently tapped the top of the container. The cakes came out easily, but some of the caramel sauce remained inside the container so I removed that with a spoon. It was so delicious I ate it right then and there!

Each Private Selection Pineapple Upside Down Cake has one pineapple ring atop, the cake is moist and buttery tasting, and the caramel sauce was amazing. One cake is the perfect serving size and was just enough to satisfy my desire for something sweet.

Nutritionally, this isn’t a dessert I would eat often because it does contain 430 calories and 16 grams of fat. There are 9 grams of saturated fat, but none of the unhealthy trans fats. It also carries 50 grams of sugar and 67 carbohydrates. Luckily it also contains 4 grams of protein, so it’s not all empty calories.

Private Selection Pineapple Upside Down Cake is so delicious I would consider serving this to dinner guests, and it is certainly a dessert that I will be purchasing again and again.
