Julian Starr Announced as 3rd Competitor in 6th Annual Kowalski Cup Tournament

If you haven’t yet heard the name Julian Starr, then you may have been living under a stone for the last two years. Since his pro wrestling debut in August 2009, Julian Starr has been on a meteoric rise on the northeast wrestling scene. In the brief two years since his debut, Julian has been amassing accolades and championships from New Jersey to Maine. This includes the Chaotic Wrestling New England Championship and ECWA Tag Team Championship. He is also the current NWA – On Fire Heavyweight Champion. As if you need any more proof, his inclusion in the 2011 Kowalski Cup Tournament is further evidence that Julian is a star on the rise.

It’s quite suitable for Julian Starr to be included in this year’s Kowalski Cup Tournament. Julian is a product of Killer Kowalski’s School of Professional Wrestling (now known as New England Pro Wrestling Academy). It was at Kowalski’s school that the Haverhill, MA native was trained in the fundamentals of professional wrestling by his instructors Brian Fury, Brian Milonas and Handsome Johnny. All three trainers have been instrumental in Julian Starr’s ascendancy. Additionally, both Brian Fury and Handsome Johnny have competed in bygone Kowalski Cup Tournaments.

It’s hard to say whether or not Julian will have an advantage over his competitors because of his association to the legendary Walter “Killer” Kowalski. But if anybody has the ability to walk into a promotion unknown and take it by siege, its Starr. He has that undeniable “it” factor. A personality that shines beyond the ring and into the crowd. He has the unique ability to get the crowd emotionally invested into his match. Its a artfulness that is sorely lacking in today’s wrestling.

Since the age of five, Julian knew he wanted to be a professional wrestler. And it’s that desire makes him want to go out night after night and steal the show. To be the very best in every competition. That includes the 2011 Kowalski Cup Tournament.

The 5’11, 200 lb athlete will have his hands full. Top Rope Promotions has already announced Ring of Honor star “Prodigy” Mike Bennett and Matt Magnum as participants in this year’s tournament. But Starr is not worried. He knows he has all the talent needed to win the competition and be crowned the 2011 Kowalski Cup winner. According to Julian Starr, it’s not “if” he wins the tournament, its “when” he wins the tournament.

Top Rope Promotions presents the 6th Annual Kowalski Cup Tournament on October 7th 2011. The event will be held at the Police Athletic League Hall in Fall River, Massachusetts. For more information, log onto Facebook.com/TopRopePromotions or visit their website at Topropepromotions.com

Chance Of Winning: Julian Starr’s chance of winning is really good. Although he has only been wrestling for two years, Julian has been able to get a lot of experience in that diminutive amount of time. Plus, what bigger splash could a relative newcomer to TRP make? This tournament win may just be the beginning of something much bigger for Julian Starr and Top Rope Promotions. Only time will tell.
