Lauren Berger Collection at Essex House

Getting your luxury on and doing so in a discreet way is what staying in true luxury is all about. While recently in Manhattan I was lucky enough to partner with the Lauren Berger Collection at the Essex House on Central Park South. Essex House has long been a home for the luxury seeking elite; the Lauren Berger Collection is a privately owned series of rooms both in Manhattan as well as in Greenwich, Connecticut and the East End of Long Island where everyone is made feel like a VIP.

The property we stayed in at Essex House is part of the Luxury Boutique Residences from the Lauren Berger Collection of rooms. The generously sized one-bedroom checks in at some 850 square feet; an impressive size for any one bedroom residence in a place like Manhattan. With sleeping accommodations for up to four people you can get value for your luxury buying dollar and make sure your whole brood is able to get a good night’s sleep.

Luxury Boutique Residences pride themselves on their “preferred list.” These are the restaurants, retailers, and destinations whom they have partnered with who they believe will get their clients the most top-tier luxury service while staying in Manhattan.

Their luxury “ambassador services” are the Lauren Berger Collections array of services and amenities which they offer for their guests exclusively and are not services you’ll find just anywhere. Some of these services include access to the most prestigious private clubs in New York City, airport pick up and drop off, chauffeur and private car services in their Bentley Brooklands, Mercedes Benz SL 550, or Rolls Royce Phantom, private services on their 48 foot yacht, a personal tailor, trainer, babysitter, shopper, in-house chef and sommelier, professional dry cleaning, nightlife coordinator, and numerous other services.

The restaurants that the Lauren Berger Collection has exclusive access to include some of the most highly regarded in the city. Guests of the Luxury Boutique Collection from Lauren Berger include names like Caf© Boulud, Beauty & Essex, La Esquina, Abe & Arthurs, The Lion, Jean Georges, Peter Luger, Per Se, and so many more.

When it comes to nightlife access you want to have a good time and you want your patronage to match your sentiment. Some of the places where Lauren Berger Collection promises you can breeze your way past the line and get access include One Oak, Butter, Rose Bar, Lavo, The Box, The Mulberry Project, and numerous others.

If there is a restaurant or a nightclub that you have been wanting to try that you don’t see on the Lauren Berger Collection list, that’s not a problem. They offer a personal ambassador for all of their guests who is available and at your disposal while you are staying at a Lauren Berger property. Your personal ambassador can make inroads for you that you may not be able to on your own; making the Lauren Berger Collections attributes that much more valuable.

The room we were in from the Lauren Berger Collection at Essex House was on the 30th floor. That’s pretty high up. From our perch above most everything around, we could see into the East River, around in back of us were the winding pathways of Central Park, and as our primary view was south, we could even see clear into portions of Times Square.

While our use of their ambassador services was constrained for the time we were there, Lauren Berger herself promised us a far more comprehensive stay in the future so that we could fully appreciate their aesthetic. Having stayed in a variety of places; in and around Manhattan and other luxury destinations; the Lauren Berger Collection at Essex House appears to offer their guests much of what one would expect from a luxury stay and even a few things added on top of that. With this added level of service; the Lauren Berger Collection separates themselves from others in the hospitality industry.
