“There are people so poor that the only thing they have is money” ~ Unknown
If you have not been saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha’Maschiach) you are spiritually bankrupt and, unless you repent (Romans 10:9), you will die in your sins – no matter how much money you have. Valuing money to the exclusion of a relationship with your Creator is a form of idolatry. Money can be a counterfeit god.
36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Lay Up Treasures in Heaven
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
1 Timothy 6:10
New King James Version (NKJV)
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
