I remember when I got my first cell phone, it was the coolest thing in the world and the size of a brick. I could call home wherever I was at, even from the car and it was great. Now I have the latest iPhone and can’t live without it. It’s not just my phone it’s the life line that keeps me connected to friends, family and the world. I use it daily to remind me of meetings and my things to do list, there are so many apps on it that I can literally do anything I need to from it. I even have an app for my Kindle so if I get stuck in a waiting room forced to cool my heels I can just relax and do a little reading.
My Kindle is another piece of essential technology that makes life so much simpler and enjoyable. I can keep as many books on it as I like. I’m one of those people who likes to read several books at once, with my Kindle it’s no problem at all and so much easier to carry around. But the thing I love about it the most is if I finish a book in a series that I really enjoyed I can go to the storefront and get the next book and be back to reading in minutes.
Like just about everyone else in the country computers are a vital part of my life. I have a desktop computer that I use at work and also one at home along with an HP 17″ laptop and a Dell mini. Keeping track of all my documents was a major issue and difficult to say the least; until I discovered Dropbox that is. I simply installed Drop box on my machines and now I have access to all of my important documents. Whenever I make any changes to my documents or when I add a new one they are automatically updated on all of my computers at once. So no matter where I am I can pull up what I am working on and know that it is the latest up to date version, no more guessing if I have a revision that I missed. I even have an app for it on my iPhone. All of these are essential technology that make my life easier and would be hard to live without.
