2010-2011 Season: 41-41, lost in first round of NBA Playoffs to the Miami Heat

Antonio Daniels

Team Additions: Thaddeus Young, Spencer Hawes, Tony Battie (resigned)
Nikola Vucevic, Lavoy Allen (via NBA Draft)
Xavier Silas, Dwayne Jones, Antonio Anderson, Mike Tisdale (free agency)
Josh Harris (new majority owner)

Starting Lineup: PG Jrue Holiday
SG Jodie Meeks
SF Andre Iguodala
PF Elton Brand
C Spencer Hawes

Outlook: The 76ers are coming off of a very impressive 41-41 season. They will be looking to build on the success they had last season. They have added size through the draft and free agency to help them where they struggled the most last season. Spencer Hawes has trimmed down and will be looking to have an improved season after posting mediocre numbers last year. The sixers will continue to have one of the deepest benches in the league with the likes of Thaddeus Young, Lou Williams, and Evan Turner all playing “sixth man” roles. Look for the 76ers to play with a chip on their shoulders after an impressive series against the Miami Heat.

Prediction: 40-26, 4th seed in East. The Sixers started poorly last season posting a 3-13 recored. From that point they finished 38-28. I believe the 76ers will be the team they were to finish last season and be mild contender in the Eastern Conference this season. Jrue Holiday will continue to improve and start to become an elite point guard in the league.
