How do I make my own sea salt mango body scrub?
Q: I was looking at the mango body scrub you can buy over at http://www.carolsdaughter.com/prodinfo.asp?number=05-0429&dept=1027It looks really good, but they dont send international.
A: I would assume they don’t actually put mango fruit in the scrub, as it would go rancid very quickly. And if they do, then they also add a ton of preservatives, which aren’t ideal for your skin anyway. My guess is that they use mango fragrance oil, and if that is the case, try using the following:1 part Fine Sea Salt (you don’t want it too coarse if it’s a body scrub, you’ll just damage your skin instead of exfoliating it – coarse is for bath salts or foot scrubs)1 part Sweet Almond or Apricot Kernel Oil (for a real treat, blend equal parts of the two)1/4 part Ground Oatmeal (Not necessary and not typically part of body scrubs, but it’s so wonderful for the skin, there’s no reason not to include it. Also, if the salt does irritate your skin, which can certainly happen if you’ve never used one before, the oatmeal will sooth your skin)1/16 part Mango Fragrance OilGood luck!Debbie HelbingCelestial Soap Co.http://celestialsoapco.tripod.com
