Mine lasted for a little over 8 months. But i have had people who I have tattooed last longer and some shorter. They dont last long because your lip is always wet, constantly rubbing against your tounge and teeth and so on. They are cool to get just to say that you got them but they are deffinately not a life long thing. They hurt but its not all too bad. If you have any other questions just ask. Good luck
