If you miscarry at home, what happens to the fetus?

Q: A close co-worker was telling me that their sister recently had a miscarriage at home they were worried about her because she didn’t seek medical help after, just self medicated and went on with her life. This got me to really start thinking, and few random questions kept rambling around in my mind. what are you suppose to do with the fetus of a miscarried baby if you are not at a medical facility and/or don’t want to involve one. Is there a protocol for this type of thing? when does it become a crime to dispose of the fetus yourself? how often does this type of thing happen, and what do authorities do about? i know its a strange question but it was a strange conversation and would like to hear what others opinions on this are. or even better, see if any one has a real answer.

A: My sister miscarried but she was only 5 weeks…she just passed hunks and hunks of blood.Its kinda hard to dispose of a fetus if you cant really find it.As to pregnancy further along…iv herd of women burying there baby…Gosh ither way thats horrible to think about
